Human Rights and Culture of Peace in the seventieth anniversary: Seminar of Chairs and UNESCO Centers on Human Rights, Culture of Peace, Gender and Social Justice
The UNESCO Chair in Education for Social Justice participated and collaborated with DEMOSPAZ in the organization of the Seminar of UNESCO Chairs and Centers on Human Rights, Culture of Peace, Gender and Social Justice that was developed at the University on October 10, 2018.
To mark the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the objective of the Seminar is to take stock and exchange ideas and analysis on the main challenges and obstacles faced for the fulfillment of human rights in the state context. international, from the work of the various UNESCO chairs and centers and other initiatives related to human rights, as well as exchange information and good practices that are being carried out.
This seminar is organized by the University Institute for Human Rights, Democracy and Culture of Peace and Nonviolence (DEMOSPAZ) with the support of the General Secretariat for Peace and Coexistence of the Basque Government. The Chair of Culture of Peace and Human Rights and the UNESCO Chair in Education for Social Justice also participate, both from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Chair of Human Rights and Public Powers in the Basque Country.
